how do the 'flowers on film' sessions work?

We start with a connection call so I can get to know you a bit better, and from there I intuitively select flowers that compliment your energy. In preparation for the day, I eco-dye silks for your styling, and all you need to do on the day is bring yourself along!

How many photographs will I receive?

I shoot by the roll, and with my starting prices you can expect to receive approximately 30 digitized film images from your shoot. Because of the nature of film, we will sometimes have a few more or less photographs in your gallery.

What If I'm awkward in front of the camera?

Nearly all of us are—myself included! A big part of my job is helping you feel comfortable and guiding you through the process. We’ll take our time, create a relaxed and enjoyable environment, and before you know it, you’ll feel at ease and simply enjoy being in the moment.

How do we plan the shoot?

We’ll schedule a connection call so I can get to know you, explore your vision, and gather inspiration for your session. Together, we’ll thoughtfully plan the location, timing, wardrobe, and any details needed to create a beautiful, intentional experience that feels uniquely yours. On the day, you simply have to show up!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reschedule or cancel my shoot?

If you need to reschedule your session, please provide at least 7 days’ notice and I will do my best to accommodate an alternative date. For rescheduling requests made within 7 days of your session, a new deposit will be required to secure a new booking date. Please note that deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation, as they secure your session date and cover the preparation involved in creating your experience.

do you photograph weddings?

Yes, though I take on only a small number each year. I'm drawn to intimate, down-to-earth celebrations where genuine connection takes centre stage and couples trust me to photograph their day with creativity and intention. If you're dreaming of a relaxed wedding immersed in nature, filled with heartfelt moments and timeless imagery, I'd love to hear from you.

Do you shoot digitally as well?

I exclusively photograph on film as it's the medium that best reflects the way I see the world and the people in front of my lens. I'm intentional and purposeful with each and every photograph I take, and love the process of creating photos that reflect the unique qualities of the person I'm working with. Film is more special to me in this way, and I am grateful to share the experience of it with you!

How long before I receive my finished photographs?

Turn-around time depends on the lab! Film photographs need to be developed and scanned prior to any editing I do, so please allow up to 3 weeks to receive your finished photographs back. That being said, the second I receive your film scans I tend to drop what I'm doing to finalise them! It's one of my favourite parts of the process, and means your photographs are usually back to you early.
